Ellis Ashley has a passion for music and it suits us just fine. Her enthusiasm has her following gigs that she likes and she is prepared to travel anywhere for a special experience. Luckily she also writes very well and thats suits us even better. So welcome to her experiences and let her take you for a musical joy ride.
Hopefully the bands she meets will be persuaded to join the GREEN MUSIC INDUSTRY which is fine-tuned to make us all environmentally responsible. In any case that is our mission and all we can say is the more the merrier! ONE LOVE!!

On tour to celebrate their latest album ‘Enough of the sweet talk’, one of Australia’s biggest bands ‘Lime Cordiale’ delivered an unforgettable performance at VEGA in Copenhagen.
Creating a vibrant atmosphere, the indie pop-rock duo - brothers Oli and Louis Leimbach- lit up the stage from the moment they stepped out.
The venue’s intimate setting allowed for a close connection between the band and their fans (one of the reasons I often prefer a smaller venue) and their interaction with the audience was something that stood out most.
They took moments to chat between songs, cracking jokes and sharing stories, effortlessly making it feel personal and authentic. Their playful energy was contagious and the crowd responded with equal enthusiasm, singing and dancing to every track.
Beginning the same as their new album with ‘Pedestal’, we were instantly immersed with their signature mix genre sounds.
The rest of the setlist was a seamless blend of their best-known hits such as ‘Temper Temper’ and ‘Robbery’ and songs from the latest album like ‘Strangers’ and ‘When I’m Losing It’, as well as ensuring the perfect balance of both upbeat tunes and introspective ballads.
Lime Cordiale’s unique songwriting combines humour and satire with sincerity and thought provoking subjects, often addressing themes such as toxic relationships, self-deprecation and existential confusion in a way that makes it relatable to listeners.
VEGA’s sound system satisfied the band’s dynamic arrangements as they incorporated a range of instruments, including a clarinet played by Oli and a trombone and even a kazoo from Louis, which elevated the performance further.
Vocally, the duo’s harmonies radiated perfectly through every song. As my first time seeing them live, I was impressed with how their voices sounded exactly as when listening to the recordings.
At the end of the show, younger brother Louis reappeared to shake hands of the fans in the front two rows (myself included) - a nice touch to express his gratitude.
Overall, Lime Cordiale’s performance at VEGA was an engaging, feel-good experience that left a lasting impression on the crowd and I personally left buzzing from the infectious energy.
Admittedly, I have almost solely been listening to their music since the show back in September - a testament to their impact - and am eager for the opportunity to see them live again.

How It All Began
The Bands that join us, will first of all be played on a local community radio station in the small country of Malawi.
Malawi may at first seem obscure but it has actually made its regional and global mark.
For example Malawi is the country where Tolkien was inspired to write LORD OF THE RINGS.
Malawi is also home to one of the world top 20 Festivals, the LAKE OF STARS FESTIVAL.
Furthermore Malawi is th original home of MADONNAS adopted children.
Malawi is also the home of KAMKWENDA who inspired the film THE BOY WHO HARNESSED THE WIND.
For those in the UK who know their comedy acts, then Malawi can proudly boast of DALISO CHAPONDA.
The local radio station by the name of MUDZIWATHU RADIO airs a weekly programme supporting and co-ordinating permaculture farming.
Permaculture is Africas best bet for food security and climate management.
When a band agrees to be part of our green music industry, their music is played on the radio station for local listeners and internationally via the internet.
The program encourages listeners to download the music. The revenue is divided between the band, the radio station and permaculture projects.
