What You Dont Understand

You certainly DONT believe that a landlord would willingly reduce the rent.

You DONT see how it would ever be in his interest…..but it actually is….why?

The simple answer is CLIMATE CHANGE

Everyone including Landlords and in most cases, ESPECIALLY Landlords, is under threat of losing out because of carbon emissions. 

Luckily for us all, landlords have been aware of these dangers and have taken steps in adressing the issue. However the economic paradigm that they operate under fails them and this is where CCSR comes into the picture.

You DONT know how CCSR function nad that’s where I come into your picture.

In COPENHAGEN some of you know me well. Some have hosted me. Other have enjoyed my music.

Others have seen me busking or walking around with a huge (fake) joint (Fake News?).

All of that was the long process towards this moment where I can present CCSR to you and all 52000 hostels/backpackers in the world.

My stepfather came from a small village in Jylland called Oue.

He had a dream to change the world and he ended up in Africa.

He made me a part of his dream, mostly by giving me opportunities to find my dreams.

His biggest gift to me was Denmark and his love for Africa’s poor. Everything I do is rooted in my Father’s influence.

I have travelled far and wide and shared this conversation in many hostels. Through hostels I have visited local communities to see what I could do with them.

I have learned from people I have met along the way and this has led to one clear common objective…..

WE MUST JOIN FORCES TO REDUCE CARBON EMISSIONS

What You SHOULD Understand

THE MOMENT HAS FINALLY ARRIVED AND I AM SUPER EXCITED!!!

Long Story Short, is that CCSR is just as complex as the economy already is, so it needs time to explain.

The general difference between the paradigm that is currently strangling the world and CCSR is that instead of CONSTRAINTS we could have FLOW. Instead of BLOCKAGE we could have OPENINGS. Instead of CONFLICT we could have RESOLUTION.

Now, these are very general modes and they are represented in every aspect of science from the weather to electronics, from sports to computers.

Therefore it is a total IMPOSSIBILITY that they wont work, when correctly applied.

Another useful compariosn is MUSIC THEORY and PERMACULTURE, where different aspects reinforce and revitalise each other.

All of them give a nod of approval to the scietntific underpinning of CCSR.

STEP ONE

Familiarize yourself with the URBAN LAND INSTITUTE’s

TRANSITION RISK ASSESSMENT GUIDELINES

According to ULI,The Built Industry constitutes 37% of global Carbon Emissions.

Hostels are the best-positioned establishments to spread awareness and engage the general public in activities in response to the ULI’s objectives.

STEP TWO

It is obvious that the ability to fulfill all the guidelines varies, for many reasons. That is why CCSR is important, because it takes the total of the effort, and ascribes it a financial value, making it viable in various contexts.

Most importantly, as you probably have already sensed, is that no matter the cost of alignment to recommendations, the effort gains a VALUE.

The true worth of the value may not be obvious in the present paradigm but it is an investment in the paradigm to come. A good idea would be to establish Think Tanks focusing on how to add value to the act of adressing and reducing Carbon Emissions.

STEP THREE

Incorporate the REGGAE DOLLAR into your sales and products. The standard distribution of the profits from the Reggae Dollar makes sure that

  2. The donation to a given cause is tax-deductable

  3. The artists performing at your establishment get an income.
